Tender offering is a proposal by a shareholder to the remaining shareholders with voting rights in a joint-stock company for buying or exchanging shares at a specific fixed market price. Tender offering is done in case a person directly or through related parties acquires more than 50% of the votes in the General Shareholders’ Meeting of a public company.
